We're excited to announce that due to growth at our 24-hour centre in Manchester we are recruiting a further veterinary surgeon to help meet our patient care needs.
Ashton 24hr is a picturesque practice located on the outskirts of Manchester with views out over the Pennines. The practice is in a converted library and spans 3 floors including a well-appointed staff room and kitchen, 4 consulting rooms including a wide-open reception area and separate dog and cat waiting areas, two clean theatres, a large prep area, imaging suite, and bespoke dog and cat wards with a separate isolation area.
Ashton has historically been a leader in practicing minimally invasive surgical techniques which continues today. We are looking to build on the strong surgical foundations of this practice with the addition of another certificate holder - a Medicine or ECC certificate would be ideal but we would be interested in hearing from any candidates who would like to be part of a highly motivated team with clinical freedom to develop their interest and provide a very high standard of care to pets in the Manchester area.
Ashton features heavily in our future development plans and our long-term goal is to site a CT scanner in this practice as well as expand the existing hospital facilities. This practice also has access to a diplomat-led surgical referrals site in-group and in-region with the option to seek advice on cases as well as imaging-only referrals for CT or MRI.
We offer a 4 day week, with no OOH and the option of either 1:3 Saturdays or 1:6 full weekends on site.
The site is supported by its own highly experienced OOH team who work closely with the daytime to ensure good handover and excellent patient care.
You will have good links to downtown Manchester as well as the neighbouring Pennines providing a fabulous balance of city and rural options for your time off.
We are committed to providing work-life balance for the team and we would be happy to consider flexible working or school hours friendly working arrangements.
This practice is truly lovely, with a committed team who look after one another, a beautiful location, and good relationships with other local practices. We welcome anyone who wishes to apply to find out more however any informal enquiries can also be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss the role in more depth before applying.
