Our mission is for everyone to leave work on time each day, having had an enjoyable and rewarding day, working within a cooperative and productive team, and delivering excellent service to our clients. We design the diary to ensure all jobs can be completed within working hours and we are always open to hearing how we can further improve the working environment. There is no out-of-hours work, and the Saturday rota is 1:5 Saturday mornings. Our employees enjoy coming to work because of the welcoming and supportive team around them. Every week we close the practice for an hour for practice meetings, team meetings, in-house training or CPD.
Set in the heart of the countryside, with local market towns, the vibrant city of Leicester, and easy travel routes to the rest of the country.
Broughton Astley and Lutterworth share a vet rota and the successful candidate would divide their time between both branches. The teams in Broughton Astley and Lutterworth require enthusiastic colleagues to support and develop what is becoming a fast-growing clientele, with many new residential developments in the local area. We are delighted to have recently completed a total redevelopment of our Lutterworth branch which has doubled its size and capacity. It is a fresh, streamlined and highly desirable place to work; hence we are seeking a small animal vet to expand our team along with the expanding building and facilities. We welcome vets with interests in career progression and actively encourage current certificate holders or those wanting to work towards completion of a certificate to apply.
Our vets carry out consults, operations and in-house investigations. They will spend each day either on ops or consults. Consulting vets will have plenty of admin breaks for reporting results, answering messages, putting up repeat prescriptions and working on projects. We have a wide selection of laboratory equipment allowing us to run a lot of tests in-house. We have an excellent nurse team with RVNs always available to support the smooth running of the day and to lighten the consulting load.
First and foremost, the successful candidate would be a team player, dedicated to their role with good attention to detail, excellent time management and good communication skills. They would be invested in the success of the practice and in making it a great place to work for everyone there. We hope the successful candidate will share our values of collaboration, respect and approachability.
Our ideal employee would be a small animal veterinary surgeon with some experience, looking to fit into a family-feel practice. A passion for excellent client and pet care is essential with an understanding that each case is different, and diagnostics and treatment plans must be tailored to what works for that patient, with that client, on that day.
We would love to employ a Certificate holder to further broaden the depth and quality of services we can offer our clients.
