Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience plus a relocation allowance of up to £5,000
Chapelfield Veterinary Partnership are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This position would suit a small animal vet who is confident in carrying out a mixture of consultations and operations. We are keen to develop our employees where possible and you will be expected to lead areas of specialism including consults for illnesses, injuries and vaccinations. There will be support from our experienced Vets for professional development, in working up cases and improving surgical skills. The caseload is varied, and this is a great role for Certificate holders or those wanting to start a certificate in the near future.

The role includes working 40-hour week, 10 hours per day. The shifts are from 8:00am-6:30pm with a fixed day off each week. There will be 1 in 4 weekends for which you receive TOIL and no out-of-hours.

We have been established in the local community for over 60 years. 5 years ago, we underwent a major refurbishment and now offer a purpose-built surgery with modern facilities. This enables us to provide a wide variety of services including 2 operating theatres, diagnostic imaging, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, cardiac imaging, ultrasound, orthopaedics, and dentistry.
We are within easy driving distance of the modern and historic city of Norwich (named by The Sunday Times in 2021, as one of the best cities to live in). The city has excellent transport links by air, rail and road to Europe and the UK. We are within easy reach of the Norfolk Broads, beautiful surrounding countryside, and a coastline of wonderful beaches. Our staff are a mixture of those who prefer to live in the city and those who prefer a more rural environment. A very exciting time to join!

Currently, we have 22 small animal Veterinary Surgeons across 4 branches with many of those moving between branches. We have 20 small animal Registered Veterinary Nurses across 4 branches with 7 being at Long Stratton.
Our team has certificate holders in medicine (2 in the group and 1 at Long Stratton), surgery (1 - works from Long Stratton) and dermatology (2 in the group and 1 works at Long Stratton).
We help and support several local and national animal charities including the Dogs Trust Centre at Snetterton.
