Lime Trees Vets, Lime Trees Veterinary Hospital, Stoke-On-Trent
Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience plus a £2,000 relocation allowance

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon to join us at Lime Trees Veterinary Hospital and Cat Clinic. You will carry out general first opinion vet work including consults, surgery, and inpatient duties including emergency and critical care.

Rota patterns that work for you

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career.
We are ideally looking for someone to work 4-5 days per week but are flexible and happy to consider candidates who are looking for part time or other working patterns. You will be required to work short Saturdays on a rota, with no out of hours work.

About Lime Trees Vets

We aim to provide the best possible client and patient care, and our facilities reflect this. We are an ISFM Accredited Cat-Friendly Clinic, with cat-friendly waiting areas and a separate cat ward. Our practice is fully equipped with two dog wards, one for large and one for smaller dogs, and a separate ward for exotics, 3 operating rooms, two for soft-tissue surgeries and one for orthopaedic cases, as well as a separate suite for minor ops or chemotherapy, endoscopy, ultrasound, on-site CT scanner, and fully kitted lab. We also offer referral services at our Hospital in Meir Park.
We are pleased to have a recently refurbished cat only clinic and are proud to be both cat friendly and rabbit friendly! We are a host practice for Vets Now Emergency who provide our out of hours care. This ensures constant 24-hour care of our inpatients at our hospital, while we sleep at night. Both locations are within easy access of the beautiful Peak District, with excellent transport links in all directions.

Come and join our friendly and supportive team

We are a supportive and approachable team looking forward to finding a like-minded colleague with an outgoing personality and positive mental attitude to work alongside us. Our dedicated and clinically strong team are hard-working individuals who also enjoy socialising outside of working hours, offering rock climbing, spinning and running groups to join for those who desire physical activity or pub quizzes, prison breaks and pottery painting for those who do not!
Currently we have 12 Veterinary Surgeons, 18 Registered Veterinary Nurses/Student Veterinary Nurses, 15 Support Staff. 6 members of our vet team are certificate holders.

Founded by David Crooks in the 1950s as a traditional mixed practice in the manner of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’, we have now grown to supply modern veterinary care from our Cheadle surgery and hospital at Meir Park while still maintaining our original philosophies and caring for your pets as much as you do.

We supply caring and professional veterinary services to pets in Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and the Staffordshire Moorlands. As we provide our own 24/7 out of hours service, you will always be seen by one of our regular vets.

We also offer referral services in small animal surgery and internal medicine at our hospital in Meir Park.
