Howells Veterinary Services Ltd. is an independent veterinary practice dedicated to providing an excellent standard of care. With twenty Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Veterinary Nurses and experienced support staff behind the scenes, we offer a comprehensive 24 hour service for pets, farm animals and horses.

We have been supporting the farming community for over thirty years and work with farms of all sizes in Yorkshire and well beyond.

We specialise in cattle, sheep, commercial pig and poultry and work closely with our clients to provide advice on preventative medicine, health and productivity.

We take great pride in giving a personal service to every farm we look after and aim to provide each of our clients with two dedicated vets. As an independent practice, we like to build an in-depth understanding of your requirements and your livestock, so where ever possible you’ll always see the same two vets for routine work.

We go beyond standard veterinary care to offer tailored farm support as well as benchmarking groups and farmers’ meetings. We are well versed in Quality Assurance and food standard regulations and will help you to implement measures to improve your livestock’s health and productivity whilst ensuring compliance.

We provide a caring, comprehensive and personal service to pets and their owners. We are proud to have been accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons since 2005 and regularly undergo re-inspection so you can be sure of continued high standards of care.

Our experienced team of small animal vets and nurses is led by Christine Howells, an Advanced Practitioner in small animal medicine. We understand the importance of continuity of care and do not mind if you ask to see a particular veterinary surgeon; we will always try to accommodate this where possible.
