About Parkhill Veterinary Surgery
Occupying a prominent rural position just on the outskirts of Wetherby, the surgery is situated a safe distance from main roads and has ample free car parking adjacent to the building. We offer a safe and convenient environment for our clients and patients to visit.
Designed to a high specification on a hospital model the surgery offers the highest standards in patient comfort and care. With under floor heating, air-conditioning and active ducted ventilation we ensure a comfortable environment for our staff and clients as well as our all important patients.
We have been inspected and accredited under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme and are proud to have been accredited since the scheme started in 2005. We have also been inspected and accredited as a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice. We have recently been inspected by The Pet Blood Bank and now host them for blood collection drives to boost stocks of this vital resource.
Our emergency service operates from Parkhill Surgery and provides emergency care day and night, 365 days a year not only for companion animals but also our farm and equine clients.
We have a dedicated team of qualified and trainee veterinary nurses, qualified veterinary surgeons, receptionists and practice managers aiming to provide a friendly and compassionate approach to our patients and their owners.
All our staff undertake regular professional development courses to ensure we keep abreast of the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment of the many ailments and injuries presented by our patients. Four of our Veterinary Surgeons have studied under the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies and obtained General Practitioner Certificates in Small Animal Surgery, Small Animal Medicine and Equine Practice.
